For kids from 6th grade and for high school students

This workshop, taught in English, explores everyday life in ancient Greek cities and villages around 450 BC through archaeology and material culture. Working in research teams, students analyse visual sources and objects connected with agriculture, trade, crafts, domestic life and religion. The aim is not to present a list of historical facts and dates, but to discuss concrete evidence and use it to understand ancient society as an interconnected socioeconomic system. The programme encourages critical reflection on daily routines, work, social roles, gender and inequality.

For high school students

During the workshop, participants will learn how to apply different approaches and concepts of critical thinking to the problem of the legalization of active euthanasia.

This workshop, taught in English, approaches Greek mythology beyond written narratives, through visual and material culture. Working in small research teams, students analyse selected images on pottery, sculpture, reliefs, jewellery and personal objects, and formulate their own interpretative hypotheses. Guided discussion focuses on what mythological scenes depict, where, for whom and why they were represented. The programme encourages critical and lateral thinking about the relationship between myth, image, medium, audience, social meaning and the circulation of mythological motives across different cultures and periods.

For kids from 9th grade and for high school students

What about becoming a trendsetter who can turn likes into money? The world of influencers is about more than just photos; it is also about marketing strategies, ethics and rules. In this workshop, we will explore how collaborations with brands work, how they should be labelled, how influencers are selected and who pays them. Students will learn to distinguish between content and manipulation, and experience what it is like to be an influencer. The topic will be approached from a Czech perspective, with attention to Czech regulations and the way influencer marketing should be handled in the Czech online environment.

Modern philosophers are exploring precisely this question, and by discussing it with them, we can attempt to reveal the hidden mechanisms behind jokes and humour in general. We can also explore the role of humour in our society and reflect on ethical issues related to the phenomenon of laughter.

For kids from 1st to high school students

Join an adventurous expedition into the world of architecture. During the programme, students will get acquainted with four major architectural styles — Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque. We will learn to recognize each style and uncover the various secrets hidden behind them. This will help students better understand and "read" the buildings that commonly surround them.

For high school students, the workshop is expanded to include deeper connections — for example, what structural and constructional innovations each style brought and made possible, and how the individual styles smoothly built upon and influenced one another..
